51st UAE National Day 2022

The UAE celebrates the Day of the Union on December 2nd of each year, which this year coincides with the 51st anniversary of the state's founding.

Union's Founding Fathers The United Arab Emirates was established by the founding fathers, the rulers of the seven

emirates, after the rulers of the other emirates responded to Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid's invitation to join the

federation, and they are:

Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan: Former Emirate of Abu Dhabi ruler and founder of the United Arab Emirates (1918-2004)

Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum: Former Emirate of Dubai Ruler (1912-1990)

Sheikh Khalid bin Muhammad Al Qasimi: Former Emirate of Sharjah ruler (1931-1972)

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi: Former Emirate of Ajman Ruler (1902-1981)

Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mualla: Former Emirate of Umm Al Quwain ruler (1908-1981) Former Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, 

Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi (1918-2010) 

Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi: Former Emirate of Fujairah ruler (1908-1974)
